Cost calculated from the spec, not from memory.
The estimator prices the piece from the actual specification against the workshop's own material rates, finish costs, and labor hours. What comes out is a quote the workshop can hand to a customer and still make margin on.
From spec inputs to a quotable number
Board-foot material calculation
Dimensions convert into board-feet by piece geometry, then price against your current stock rate per species and grade. No flat per-item guesses.
Finish cost by treatment
Stains, sealers, lacquers, and paints priced by coverage area and treatment complexity - matte and high-gloss don't cost the same, and the estimate reflects that.
Labor hours by piece type and finish
Hours estimated by piece type (table, wardrobe, chair) and finish complexity, then priced at the workshop's actual labor rate.
Overhead and margin lines
Configurable overhead and margin percentages layered on the base cost so the workshop's quote is what actually goes to the customer.
Variant-level pricing
For orders with multiple pieces (e.g., 6 chairs plus 2 carvers), each variant is priced independently and rolled up into the order total.
Version history on quotes
Every revision keeps the previous quote intact - so if the customer changes finish mid-quote, the trail of what was priced and when stays clean.
Material pricing coverage today is strongest for solid hardwoods common in Indian workshop production - oak, teak, sheesham, mango, walnut - plus plywood and standard finishes. Species or finish types outside this range are added to the workshop's rate table at onboarding rather than pulled from a generic marketplace.
